WomenWeave was established in Maheshwar, Madhya Pradesh, in 2003 by Padma Shri awardee Sally Holkar to help women in the handloom sector lead better lives. It trains and employs women weavers, runs The Handloom School for young weavers, and markets Maheshwari and khadi textiles so that weaving becomes a sustainable, dignified livelihood.
