Anahad Foundation is a Section 8 nonprofit founded in 2013, dedicated to empowering folk artists and preserving India's rural and tribal folk-music traditions. Its Backpack Studio Project carries portable recording technology to remote communities so folk musicians can produce professional recordings, build an online presence and retain their copyrights.
