Founded by figures including freedom fighter and educationist Shanta Gandhi, the trust runs an archival library, produces theme-based educational media packages and publications, and trains educators and community groups. Its work spans education, health, labour and social-change themes, guided by commitments to social justice, gender sensitivity, secularism and human rights, including through its long-running Avehi Abacus education project.
