Established on 4 January 1984 as the Mysore Diocesan Social Service Society, ODP serves poor and marginalized communities across Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu and Hassan irrespective of faith. It builds women's self-help groups and farmer collectives, runs health camps and cancer patient support, trains gram panchayat women leaders, and promotes sustainable agriculture across more than a thousand villages.
