The Catholic Health Association of India (CHAI), founded in 1943, is a national network of Catholic healthcare and social service institutions organised into 11 regional units, many of them in remote and difficult-to-reach areas. Its member institutions work on maternal and child health, communicable and non-communicable diseases, palliative care, disability and disaster response.
