Founded in 1894 by Dr. Edith Mary Brown as Asia's first medical school for women, Christian Medical College & Hospital, Ludhiana is a minority-run charitable teaching hospital that has trained generations of doctors, dentists and nurses in the spirit of the healing ministry. Its hospital accommodates 750 inpatients across general, private and critical care wards, anchors stroke care and public health programmes across Punjab, and pursues its founding emphasis on healthcare for rural, underserved and unreached communities.
