Born in Mumbai in 1996 with support from stalwarts of the crafts movement, Paramparik Karigar is a one-of-a-kind collective of master artisans — weavers, block printers, Warli and Pattachitra painters, metal and wood craftsmen — that organises curated exhibitions across Indian cities, craft residencies, student workshops and demonstrations, helping member artisans sell directly, escape middlemen and pass their centuries-old skills to the next generation.
