Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network was founded in 2004 by activist Binalakshmi Nepram after witnessing a gun killing in Thoubal district, and has since supported women gun-violence survivors across Manipur with livelihood programmes in traditional handloom, handicrafts and painting alongside advocacy for disarmament and peace. It also operates as the Control Arms Foundation of India (CAFI).
