Eleutheros Christian Society began in Tuensang in 1993 as a response to drug abuse and HIV among injecting drug users in eastern Nagaland. Founded by Chingmak Kejong and his wife Phutoli, ECS now runs community health centres, de-addiction and livelihood programmes across the remote districts of Tuensang, Noklak, Kiphire, Mon and Longleng.
