The Andhra Pradesh Voluntary Health Association was registered under the Societies Registration Act in Guntur on 12 June 1972 as a secular network of non-profit organisations serving vulnerable rural and urban communities across the state. As the state chapter of the Voluntary Health Association of India, APVHA links dispensaries and grassroots health NGOs, building the capacity of member organisations and their health workers. Its work covers direct health services for underserved communities, health education on hygiene, nutrition and sanitation, disaster and emergency health response, and advocacy for stronger public health policy at the state and local level.
