Manthan Sanstha has worked in the water-scarce villages around Rajasthan's Sambhar Salt Lake since 1998, where brackish groundwater and social exclusion compound hardship. Its programmes span drinking water, night schools and education, community health and solar energy, and it reports reaching more than 490 villages and 50,000 households over twenty-five years.
