Jago Foundation was registered in September 1997 in Giridih district by young social activists inspired by Gandhian principles. Working in Dalit and tribal communities across four districts of Jharkhand, it runs child protection and rights programmes, bal sansads (children's parliaments), anti-trafficking advocacy and community development work.
