GRAVIS has worked for over 40 years to improve water security, health, education and livelihoods for small and marginal farming communities in the Thar Desert region of Rajasthan. Headquartered in Jodhpur, it builds traditional rainwater-harvesting structures, runs mobile health units and works on agriculture, sanitation and disaster preparedness in some of the state's most water-scarce villages.
