Cohesion Foundation Trust was set up in 1996 by a multi-disciplinary team of professionals as a support body providing project management, monitoring and evaluation, research and capacity-building services to other organisations. It became an implementing organisation in Gujarat from 2000-01, was formally registered in 2001 under the Bombay Public Trust Act, and has since expanded into Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
