Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare

Founded on 2 October 1990 by professionally trained social workers, the Hyderabad Council of Human Welfare works with street children and families in difficult circumstances, with the stated ambition of making Hyderabad a child-friendly city. It runs the DMR School for children who cannot afford private education, a mobile clinic that takes doctors to homeless and marginalised residents, the SMART vocational centre for youth, UDAAN tailoring training for women, interest-free business loans through Rozgaar Konnect, and SAHARA support for families who lost earners to COVID.
