Women's Education and Economic Development Society (WEEDS) has worked since 1989 across the Kancheepuram, Chengalpattu, Thiruvallur, Chennai, and Ranipet districts of Tamil Nadu, building community organisations, providing children's education, and empowering women through livelihood training such as tailoring and embroidery. Its site reports supporting more than 1,265 Self Help Groups and training 600 women annually, reaching over 100,000 people across 300+ communities, and aligns its work with 11 UN Sustainable Development Goals.
