Deesha Education Foundation

Deesha Education Foundation operates a network of eye banks across Amravati, Yavatmal, Washim and Buldhana in the Vidarbha region, providing round-the-clock eye-donation retrieval and coordinating corneal transplants. Founded in 2010, it also runs school and village eye-checkup camps, including mobile clinics in tribal areas.

Deesha Education Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

• 14,12,000+ eye/organ donation pledges collected through awareness programmes
• 12,700+ eye donations facilitated through Deesha International Eye Bank
• 3,00,000+ patients screened in remote and rural areas
