Christian Hospital Ambilikkai

Christian Hospital Ambilikkai (CHA) is a 248-bed multi-specialty secondary-care hospital in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, founded in 1965 by Dr. Jacob Cherian and Dr. Mary Cherian to treat TB and leprosy patients before expanding into general medicine and surgery. It is a unit of the Christian Fellowship Community Health Centre Society, registered in 1973, and serves patients from Dindigul, Madurai, Tiruppur, Tiruchirappalli, Erode and Coimbatore districts. In 1977 it established the Christian Cancer Centre, which runs radiotherapy and brachytherapy services along with a Rural Cancer Registry maintained with the Adyar Cancer Institute.
