Vidyarambam Trust works on the problem of rural under-achievers in Tamil Nadu — children who fall behind and drop out before the eighth grade, often into child labour or early marriage. Each year it runs several hundred village learning centres across the state, supported from its Chennai office, using educational toys and games alongside remedial teaching and an Easy Learning English programme for government school children.
