Established in 1927 after the Bombay Children's Act, The Children's Aid Society runs a network of seven residential institutions across Mumbai — including the historic Umerkhadi children's home and Mankhurd's Bal Kalyan Nagari — sheltering, educating and rehabilitating orphaned, abandoned and at-risk children.
