SPARSH Gadchiroli was founded on 9 August 2007, the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples, by seven founding members. It works to organise and empower the most disadvantaged sections of society in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra, particularly tribal communities, Dalits, women and children. Its activities focus on human rights protection, capacity building, community mobilisation and health awareness.
