Raphael Ryder Cheshire International Centre was founded in Dehradun in 1959 by Group Captain Leonard Cheshire and Baroness Sue Ryder. It provides free education, therapy and lifelong care for children and adults with autism, cerebral palsy and other intellectual disabilities, and is the state nodal agency for these conditions, having also run a long tuberculosis-care programme.
