Established in 2010 and inspired by Gandhian ideals, DivyaJyoti Trust runs the Tejas Eye Hospital in Mandvi, Surat district — a charitable eye hospital serving the largely tribal talukas of south Gujarat. Alongside its 100-bed hospital with cataract, cornea and glaucoma clinics, the trust conducts diagnostic eye camps across surrounding villages, community-based rehabilitation of the blind covering the whole of Mandvi taluka, school eye-screening and spectacle distribution, and piloted Gujarat's first 'avoidable blindness free' village project at Umarkhadi.
