CROSS, founded in Chittoor in 1994, works with Dalit and tribal communities in rural Andhra Pradesh on the principle of working with, not for, villages. Alongside education and women's empowerment — over 4,000 women trained — it has installed more than 5,000 household biogas units that bring clean cooking energy and verified carbon reductions, and trains rural youth in AI and digital skills.
