AWARD Trust — Action for Welfare and Awakening in Rural Development — was registered in 2000 and works in four blocks of Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu, from its base at Vadalur. Its assistance covers health, sanitation, nutrition, early childhood programmes, women and children, vocational training and poverty alleviation, reaching over 4,000 children, 6,000 women and 3,500 youth across some 65 villages.
