Swami Manmathan is the founder of Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram (1977)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture, women & children and healthcare from Anjanisain (Tehri Garhwal).
Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram
Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram (SBMA) was founded in 1977 by Swami Manmathan at Anjanisain in Tehri Garhwal, Uttarakhand. From its hill campus it runs programmes in education, health, women's empowerment, disaster management, agriculture and child rights across the state, including an SBMA hospital, skill development centre and environment school.
Shri Bhuvneshwari Mahila Ashram reports the following, on its own site:
- An integral part of 2000 communities served by more than 300 staff members and 436 volunteers
- 18 projects run in collaboration with partner organisations
