Sitaram Jindal is the founder of Sitaram Jindal Foundation (1969)[1], an Indian non-profit working on healthcare, education, rural & agriculture and women & children from Bengaluru.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation

Founded in 1969 by industrialist Sitaram Jindal, this Bengaluru charitable trust runs hospitals and educational institutions, gives scholarships, and supports rural development and women's vocational training. It reports supporting over 500 charitable institutions and nearly 12,000 scholarship students.

Sitaram Jindal Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • Jindal Prize: 5 prizes of Rs 1 crore each awarded annually for social upliftment
  • About 300 patients treated free every day at its Manav Sewa Charitable Polyclinic in Delhi
  • 5 mobile clinics cover 120 villages a week, treating around 800 patients a day
