Reshine Organisation began when its founder, Rohan Kumar of Bidar, decided to act on the contrast between food wasted at functions and people going hungry on the streets. Its volunteers collect surplus food from events and festivals and redistribute it to those in need, alongside smaller programmes in education, environment and livelihood support.
