Mrs.Gayathri Sampath is the founder & director of Nithilyam Special School & Rehabilitation Center (NISSARC) (2016)[1], an Indian non-profit working on disability and education from Coimbatore.

Nithilyam Special School & Rehabilitation Center (NISSARC)

NISSARC in Coimbatore serves children with autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and developmental delays through a multidisciplinary professional team. Each child receives a detailed assessment across physical, psychological and social domains, followed by a mix of developmental, play, sensory, occupational and physiotherapy with home-based plans, while older students take skill-based vocational training.

We can proudly say today that 20 children have been mainstreamed with much-needed support in the last four years. And around 70 special-needs children are being given individual care and attention by a dedicated team of 15 Therapists and Special Educators.
