K. G. Mohan is the founder of Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled (1999)[1], an Indian non-profit working on disability, education and livelihood from Bengaluru.

Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled

Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled was established in 1999 by three visually impaired graduates who wanted to open up opportunities for people with disabilities. From its Bangalore centre it provides accommodation, education and training for visually impaired and physically disabled students, including computer and English training, mobility training, cultural programmes and skill development leading to employment.

Snehadeep Trust for the Disabled reports the following, on its own site:

  • 365 visually-impaired children given primary education
  • 3,015 supported through computer education and higher studies
  • 12,415 assistive technologies and devices provided
  • 60% of trainees got employment
