Himalayan Jan Kalyan Seva Trust

Himalayan Jan Kalyan Sewa Trust grew out of the private charity of founder Prem Singh Rawat, an ex-serviceman who had been quietly helping needy people since 2012. From Dehradun it runs school libraries and education centres in backward rural areas of Uttarakhand, workshops on digital literacy and health, programmes for women, children and the elderly, and animal welfare work including cow shelters and tree plantation drives.

Himalayan Jan Kalyan Seva Trust reports the following, on its own site:

  • Till now we have provided education to 1500+ children.
  • 500+ women have been trained to make them self-reliant.
  • 2000+ people have benefited through health camps.
  • Till now 50000+ saplings have been planted under the tree plantation campaign.
