Veteran Second Innings Foundation runs Project Veer, a resettlement program supporting Indian ex-servicemen (ESM) as they transition to civilian careers, given that most retire in their mid-30s to mid-40s after joining the armed forces as teenagers. The program offers job listings, certification courses, ECHS and welfare-scheme application support, and resume services, and its site reports over 75,000 ex-servicemen trained across seven cities over more than 25 years, plus sponsorship of education for 200+ children of dependent families.
