St. Stephen's Hospital, Delhi

Opened in 1885 as the first hospital for women and children in Delhi and settled at its Tis Hazari campus since 1908, St. Stephen's Hospital is the oldest and one of the largest private charitable hospitals in the capital. Run by the St. Stephen's Hospital Society, the 600-bed super-speciality tertiary care institution serves around five million people in and around the walled city, treating three-quarters of its patients in subsidised general wards, and performed North Delhi's first kidney transplant in 2002.
