Spandan was Vadodara's first formal centre for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities, set up by the Banyan City Jaycees Education Trust and now marking fifty years of work. Its campus houses a cerebral palsy and play centre, an autism centre, a grant-in-aid school, day-care and therapy units, and vocational training, with a toy library for its youngest learners.
