Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum

The Raja Dinkar Kelkar Museum in Pune holds the extraordinary one-man collection of Dr. D.G. 'Kaka' Kelkar (1896-1990), who travelled India for over sixty years gathering everyday artifacts — lamps, doors, musical instruments, textiles and the famed Mastani Mahal — and dedicated the collection to the memory of his son Raja. Opened in 1962 and now expanding into a planned 'Museum City' at Bavdhan, it is one of India's best-loved private museums, complete with a metaverse tour and multilingual audio guides.
