LEDeG was founded in 1983 to promote the ecological and sustainable development of Ladakh in harmony with its traditional culture. It works on renewable energy (solar power plants, solar cookers, passive solar housing), eco-friendly construction, sustainable agriculture, water and waste management, and skill development for Ladakhi communities.
