SECMOL was founded in 1988 by a group of young Ladakhis to reform the educational system of Ladakh. It runs an alternative residential school and Foundation Year programme for students who have struggled in the government system, and operates an eco-friendly, solar-heated campus near Leh that models sustainable living alongside youth education.
