Integrated Rural Community Development Society (IRCDS) was founded on 17 July 1986 in Polivakkam village by schoolteacher and social worker Titus Paul Cruz, and is based in Tiruvallur district, Tamil Nadu. It facilitates community-based action among poor and marginalised communities in Tiruvallur, with need-based support extending to Sivaganga district, addressing bonded labour, education, health (including TB and HIV), and social protection. Titus Paul Cruz led the organisation for 35 years before it passed to its current Executive Secretary, Stephen Paul Cruz, who has worked with IRCDS for 36 years.
