Cheshire Disability Trust (CDT) was formed in 2010 as an autonomous trust under the Cheshire Homes India National Council, exclusively focused on promoting livelihoods for persons with disabilities. Its National Livelihood Resource Centre in Bengaluru anchors a network of seven further Livelihood Resource Centres run through partner organisations across India, delivering skilling and job placement — both wage and self-employment — for people with disabilities, including blind and deaf individuals. CDT is a member of the Leonard Cheshire Disability Global Alliance, a UK-founded international network operating in 55 countries. It is a distinct trust from Cheshire Homes India, Bangalore Unit (a separate, already-listed residential-care organisation on a different domain).
