Church's Auxiliary for Social Action (CASA) began as the NCC Relief Committee formed by the National Council of Churches in India in response to Partition in 1947, and has since grown into a national humanitarian organisation serving people irrespective of caste, religion, gender or political affiliation. Headquartered in New Delhi with three zonal and 31 sector offices, it has responded to more than 500 disasters and runs ongoing programmes in education, health, livelihood and climate resilience.
