Pravin Patkar is the co-founder of Prerana (1986)[1], an Indian non-profit working on women & children, human rights and anti-trafficking from Mumbai.
Prerana
Prerana works in Mumbai's red-light areas to protect children of women in prostitution from intergenerational trafficking. It runs night-care centres, education support and anti-trafficking interventions.
Prerana reports the following, on its own site:
- 15,000 children protected from intergenerational trafficking
- Pioneering anti-trafficking work in Kamathipura since 1986
