Nandita de Souza is the founder of Sethu Centre for Child Development & Family Guidance (2005)[1], an Indian non-profit working on disability and women & children from Saligao.

Sethu Centre for Child Development & Family Guidance

Sethu is a Goa-based trust supporting children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other developmental disabilities through early intervention, speech and occupational therapy, special education and family counselling. It runs its centre from Saligao and works closely with families across the state.

Sethu Centre for Child Development & Family Guidance reports the following, on its own site:

  • 879 children and families received services at Sethu in 2024-25 (430 new registrations, 449 follow-up clients)
  • Gnyandeep outreach programme collaborated with 1,262 Anganwadi workers across 12 talukas in Goa in 2024-25, distributing 419 developmental-screening assessment kits and conducting 110 onsite visits
