Nagakarthik MP is the founder of Sauramandala Foundation (2018)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture and tribal welfare.

Nagakarthik MP is an Indian development practitioner and the founder of the Sauramandala Foundation, a non-profit registered in 2018 and based in Shillong, Meghalaya. The foundation works to improve development outcomes in remote, vulnerable and poorly connected communities.

An engineer by training, he has worked for more than a decade across the Indian Himalayan region and the north-eastern states, designing programmes in health, education, climate and entrepreneurship.

Sauramandala Foundation

Nagakarthik began working on the idea for the Sauramandala Foundation towards the end of 2017; the organisation was registered in 2018. Its Centre for Accelerated Development works through collaborative action with government and communities to build resilience in remote areas. Most of its work is in Meghalaya, with earlier work in Assam, Kashmir, Manipur and Nagaland.

Programmes have included rural entrepreneurship fellowships, the Chief Minister's Youth Centres in Meghalaya, early childhood education work and the construction of climate-resilient health centres through community participation.

He has written on partnering with government for India Development Review, and leads public health initiatives at Blockchain for Impact.[2][3][4]

Sauramandala Foundation

Sauramandala Foundation is a rural development organisation that works with remote and inaccessible communities, accelerating social and economic change through collaborative action. Working closely with the Meghalaya government and local partners, it runs fellowships, community grants and last-mile service delivery programmes across the Northeast.
