Arvind Foundation educates and trains children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Chennai through its Arvindniketan curative centre, the Arvind Institute of Vocational Excellence and outreach and day-care centres, including one in Kodaikanal. Projects such as Arvind's Cafe and the Nirmaan residential programme prepare young adults for livelihoods and independent living.
