Malay Dewanji is the founder of LAMP[1], an Indian non-profit working on orphans & child care and women & children.
LAMP
LAMP is a non-profit, secular voluntary social service organisation working for street and working children in Delhi, Kolkata and Orissa, running programs on child welfare, women's empowerment through micro-credit, vocational training, short-stay homes and health.
LAMP reports the following, on its own site:
- LAMP is serving at present in 9 leprosy colonies in West Bengal covering 429 families consisting of 1506 members.
- 45 Women Self-Help Groups have been already formed and the SHG members have been provided with support for developing management of thrift savings and micro credit programmes.
- Total Members of MFLD program 41,414
- Number of current borrowers : 6423
