Founded in 1834 by Jamsetjee Jeejeebhoy and Amichand Shah, the Bombay Panjrapole is a charitable trust running a two-acre animal infirmary hidden in the lanes of Bhuleshwar bazaar, caring for hundreds of cows, donkeys, dogs, goats and birds, with branch gaushalas around Mumbai.
