Dr.G.Munirathnam is the founder general secretary of Rashtriya Seva Samithi (RASS)[1], an Indian non-profit working on rural & agriculture, livelihood, women & children, elderly and disability from Anantapur.

Rashtriya Seva Samithi began in 1981 as Rayalaseema Seva Samithi, founded with the involvement of Padma Vibhushan Prof. N.G. Ranga, P. Rajagopal Naidu and Sarvodaya leader Nirmala Deshpande to serve the drought-prone Rayalaseema region of Chittoor, Kadapa, Anantapur and Kurnool districts, before being renamed in 1998 to reflect a wider footprint. Under founder-director Dr G. Muniratnam, who received a Padma Shri in 2012 for his social service, RASS built programmes in education, skill development, women's self-help groups, improved farming techniques, and health and welfare services for senior citizens and people with disabilities. The organisation reports running 21 active projects reaching close to a million people across Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Odisha, and has received four national awards from the Government of India.
