Founder of Simply Sport Foundation

Ankit Nagori is the founder of Simply Sport Foundation (2020)[1], an Indian non-profit working on sports, women & children and healthcare from Bengaluru.

Ankit Nagori is an Indian entrepreneur who, with Kanika Nagori, established the Simply Sport Foundation in 2020. The Bengaluru-based foundation supports India's grassroots sports ecosystem, with a particular emphasis on increasing the participation and representation of girls and women in sport.

In his business career he is the founder of the food technology company Curefoods, was a co-founder of cult.fit (Cure.fit), and previously served as chief business officer at Flipkart.

Career

Nagori spent about six years at Flipkart, rising to chief business officer, and left in 2016 to co-found cult.fit. In 2020 he founded Curefoods, a cloud-kitchen business based in Bengaluru.

Simply Sport Foundation, which he and Kanika Nagori established in 2020, works with sports institutions to provide coaching, equipment, infrastructure, tournaments and education scholarships to young athletes. Its first partnership was with Khelo Rugby in West Bengal. The foundation also brings sports science — strength and conditioning, nutrition and sports psychology — to grassroots athletes, and runs a Female Health Program which it reports has reached more than 8,000 athletes and coaches with workshops on menstrual health, nutrition and mental wellbeing. Nagori is listed as a director of the foundation.[2][3][4][5]

Simply Sport Foundation

Simply Sport Foundation is a Bengaluru-based sports organisation working to strengthen India's grassroots sport ecosystem, bridging the gap in support and visibility for athletes, coaches and institutions. Its programmes include a women's health programme covering menstrual health, nutrition and mental health for female athletes and their coaches, a grassroots development programme run with partner academies, and Pivot, a leadership and life-skills programme for aspiring sportswomen.

Simply Sport Foundation reports the following, on its own site:

  • 14,200+ grassroot athletes reached through partnerships, sports science, scholarships and skilling
  • 8,000+ female athletes and coaches trained in health-based approaches
  • 21 communities and leagues partnered with to promote sports at the grassroots level
