Anasuyabai Basrurker is the founder of Blind Relief Association (1944)[1], an Indian non-profit working on disability, education and livelihood from New Delhi.

Blind Relief Association

The Blind Relief Association, Delhi, established in 1946, educates and trains visually impaired people for independent living — running the JPM Senior Secondary School, vocational training, rehabilitation services and sports promotion from its campus near Lodhi Road.

Blind Relief Association reports the following, on its own site:

  • Talking Book Studio has produced 844 titles in Hindi, English and Sanskrit since 1982
  • Hostel accommodates around 300 students, teachers and staff
  • JPM Senior Secondary School enrolls 202 students with a teaching staff of 23
