Uravu, established in 1996 in Thrikkaipetta village in Wayanad, promotes bamboo as a sustainable material for rural livelihoods. It runs South India's largest bamboo nursery, trains artisans and self-help groups in bamboo craft, and has turned Thrikkaipetta into a recognised bamboo village.
